Sit tight, please!
Thanks so much for coming to the BonBoards website! I'm hoping many of you are getting here through the redirect of my NEW WEBSITE! That's right, BonBoards is upgrading from a personal blog to an official business website! The site is in the process of being built, which is why you haven't seen any updates on here in quite awhile. The new site will unveil all of my recent BonBoards as well as many other new functions that the website can offer!
Until then, please feel free to look through all of the older posts on here, and to place your order for your own BonBoards!

BonBoards in the Community
I recently had a vendor table at a local event where I was able to highlight my work and meet some people from the community. Since it was my first experience participating in a vendor show, I wasn't quite sure what to expect! But the event was great, I was able to do some networking with other local artists and entrprenuers, and I even took a few orders! If I do say so myself, the BonBoards table was definitely the most colorful :)
One of the best parts of my night was getting to meet Mallery. She was about 8 years old and she LOVED the BonBoards. Since her name is spelled differently than most other Mallory's, she has a hard time finding things with her name on it. So the idea of getting a BonBoard for her room with her name spelled correctly was really exciting to her. She picked out the board she wanted, and then I personalized it right there for her! I let her pick out the color she wanted her name to be written in as well as the pushpins to match the board. It was so neat for me to see her little mind searching through all of the pushpins. I would have picked the flower and butterfly pushpins to match the board, but Mallery picked: a frog, three cupcakes, and a flower. This experience with Mallery was the coolest part of the night for me -- the reason I love BonBoards is because they are personalized to what that person wants ... and the pushpins Mallery picked completely symbolized that for me.
I'm participating in another show this Friday, June 1st from 5-9pm called the Trolley Bazaar. You can find more information about the event here! I hope to see you there :)
Baby Isabelle
Do you remember my cousin's adorable twins? Well another one of my cousins recently gave birth to her first baby, Isabelle Lindsey. Here she is -- isn't she the sweetest?
For her baptism, I wanted to make her a BonBoard that would match her room. Since her room is pink and green paisley, I went with this board:
And since the cake was in the same colors, they set up the BonBoard as a backsplash to the cake!
Welcome to the world, little Isabelle!
Let BonBoards be a part of your special day!
I'm excited to announce that BonBoards has officially ventured into the wedding world! My friend Kelsey is getting married in July so I'm making her three BonBoards that she'll able to use at her wedding. They will all be in her wedding colors and will have adorable sayings on the bottom. She's using them to display the table numbers where her guests are to be seated. The bonus? She's getting them well before her wedding day so she can use them at her bridal shower, too, to display pictures of her and her future hubby. Adorable!
I also just filled an order for a bride in KENTUCKY... do you know what that means? It means I shipped BonBoards and they showed up in one piece! She wanted to give BonBoards as gifts at the rehearsal dinner for the two girls in her wedding that were doing the readings. She wanted a "Wine Down" board, and a UK board for the Kentucky fan.
As a wine drinker myself, this is one of my favorite boards I've ever made! I thought the wine bottle needed a little something so I added ribbon and some brads to spice it up:
I also had a lot of fun making this UK board. My beau is a huge UK fan, and so are my sister and her husband, so maybe now that I've gotten the UK logo down I'll be able to make them some presents! :)
Let me know if you want to let BonBoards be a part of your special day -- they make great bridesmaid gifts, flower girl gifts, and there are a lot of neat ways we can incorporate them into the actual ceremony or reception!

Long Day? Wine Down!
This MagBoard is for the wine lover!
The color scheme is neutral enough that it could match most kitchens or would be adorable above a basement bar! Custom pushpins come with the design. Interested in this MagBoard? Come to the show on Friday at PS Dupont or you can order one and I'll make it especially for the wine-lover in your life!
So many Phillies Phans
The BonBoard I make that gets the most "oohs and ahhs" are the Phillies boards. It must be because I live near Philly, and everyone who lives near Philly seems to be a HUGE fan. Thanks to a recommendation from my beau (another Phillies fan!), I made this board:
You'll have to excuse the lighting on it -- it sort of looks like the P is pink instead of red, but I promise in real life it looks great :)
Interested in this board? Come to my show on Friday at PS Dupont! Or, just click the button on the right hand side of the screen that says "Order Now" and I'll custom make one for you!

Come see me!
I'm writing with exciting news! BonBoards was invited to participate as a vendor in a local craft show! I'll be showcasing lots of BonBoards and MagBoards, will have plenty of order forms to place particular orders, and will bring my paint supplies so I can personalize the boards right there on the spot.
If you're in the local area, I encourage you to come check us out on Friday, May 11th from 5:30-9:30 at P.S. Dupont Middle School in Wilmington Delaware. The event is hosted by the middle school and the proceeds from the vendor show and raffle will go to support the American Cancer Society. You can find out more about the event here. BonBoards has donated a FREE BONBOARD to the raffle, so buy some tickets to support the ACS and get yourself a free BonBoard while you're at it!
Hope to see you there!

For my cousins.
I was lucky enough to spend Easter with some of my relatives so I came bearing BonBoards gifts! I made Timmy a Phillies board because he is a HUGE fan. In fact, my boyfriend (who is also a big fan!) said he thinks this is the best BonBoard I've made. I think he's just partial :) Nevertheless, Timmy liked it ... and that's what matters!
After years of getting "unbirthday gifts" from my Grammy when it was one of my sister's birthdays, I made a BonBoard for Timmy's sister, too even though it wasn't her birthday. Here is a picture with sweet little Tessa holding her board!
Love you, little ones!

Happy Birthday Lily!
My friend ordered a BonBoard for her niece Lily who was turning 8. So I made her a BonBoard for her room that she could hang things on and then I made a matching MagBoard for her to put on her bedroom door. Here they both are:
As a surprise, I made my friend a MagBoard for her office! Nice and professional -- but still adorable!
I think Lily loves it because she already hung the BonBoard and posted some of her favorite pictures! Thanks for sharing, Lily!
Thanks Sarah! And Happy Birthday, Lily!

Double Trouble
My cousin and her husband recently gave birth to the most beautiful twin girls you've ever seen. I mean seriously, look at these babies:
I told you they were adorable!! Okay, so for their Baptism, I wanted to make them BonBoards that would match their room. My cousin did an adorable job decorating their room in pink and green:
Since the girls already had their names above their beds, I didn't want to make one of the bigger BonBoards in case there wasn't room on the walls to hang them. So I made them MagBoards since they offer a little more versatility because of their size. This way, if Molly wanted to hang them on the wall, she could; or if she wanted to just display them on the bookshelf, she could do that too! Here's what I came up with:
I brought them to the luncheon after the Baptism and they were the talk of the gift table!
And the cutest pictures of all .... here are the girls with their BonBoards!
Happy Baptism, baby girls!

Trucks galore!
My friend Carrie ordered a BonBoard for a little guy in her life. His name is Landon, he's 3 years old, and he LOVES trucks!! I found these stickers that I turned into pushpins and used them as my color scheme:
Then I painted a dump truck for him!
Here you go, Landon! I hope you love it!

BonBoards Supporting the Community
I am thrilled to announce that BonBoards is helping to support local communities ... even if the community is 1200 miles away from where I am! My younger sister was helping to plan an event and asked if I would donate a BonBoard as a raffle prize. I was excited to help out and made this Ohio University BonBoard:
I was so thrilled to receive an email last weekend with the subject line "Thank you for donating!" - The young woman who won the BonBoard reached out to me! With her permission, I'd like to share her thoughtful email with all of you:
"I ran in the Active for Atco. race this morning and I received your beautiful Ohio bulletin board you made and donated. I just wanted to say thank you for donating to the race and for supporting activities in the community. I am not only going to use this bulletin board in college, but in my classroom in the future. I will definitely be telling my friends about your unique bulletin boards! Thank you so much for donating this very useful and cute bulletin board!"
What a sweetheart! I'm so glad you liked the board, Lynne, and THANK YOU for being so passionate about community service.
If you are planning an event and would like a BonBoard donated as a prize, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Thanks for following up!
The process of making BonBoards is so much fun for me. Each time I make a board for someone, I get to learn a little bit about them. For example, I get to learn about people's favorite colors, sports teams, etc. Every decision I make throughout the creative process is for that specific person, so it is really fun for me when customers follow up with pictures or notes about what their loved one thought of the BonBoard gift.
So, thanks to Carrie for sharing this picture of Adler who gives a "thumbs up" to his basketball board!

Boards for Mom and Boys
I got an email from Kristin who was wanting to order boards for her sons for their January birthdays. Justin and Matthew are 7 and 4 years old and they are huge Phillies fans. I made sure to get baseball pushpins for them, too!
Kristin wanted a BonBoard for herself, too! She wanted a board to put in her kitchen so that she could hang the boys' artwork and some photos on it, so it needed to be somewhat plain so that it had space for the art/photos but still cute. But just like Maggie's boards, I wanted to make it a little more grown up. She sent me a picture of her kitchen and I went to the store to find matching paint. So here is the board I painted:
Here is a closeup of the flower:
Since the board was a little more plain, I wanted to make sure I found some cute pushpins to go with it!
Happy birthday, guys! Maybe Mom can put a picture of you with your boards on her board! :)

Introducing MagBoards!
Since Maggie gave me the great idea to make smaller boards, I've decided to name them in her honor! I'm thrilled to introduce the BonBoards option of the MagBoard. Here are a few that I made to see how they would turn out. And to be honest, I LOVE them!
These MagBoards are 12" x 12" and are only $20. Put in your order today!

Maggie and Lucia - Follow up!
Do you remember the boards I made for Maggie and Lucia? Kelsey gave them their boards and they sent her an email thank you note (well, their parents sent it on their behalf ... they aren't even old enough to write yet!).
The email said, "Thank you Kelsey, I love my Christmas present!" I asked if I could share the pictures with ya'll here on the blog because they just warmed my heart.
Apparently Lucia was trying to carry hers around with her! I'm glad you like them, little ladies!

BonBoards ... for grown ups!
Maggie is a young professional who has become friends with two girls who work in her office. She thought BonBoards would be a great way to add some joy to their cubicles but knew that the normal size boards wouldn't fit in her cubicle (the boards are 24"x24"). So, she asked if I could make something smaller. Well, Maggie... challenge accepted!
There was another twist to it: this was for her office, so it had to be somewhat professional. Basically, I needed to make a BonBoard for a grown up. I'm used to using bright neon colors and painting things like butterflies and flowers, so this was definitely something new for me. But, I was up to the challenge!
So here they are:
And here is a close up on the pushpins:
I made a similar board for Maggie's room, and in this picture you can see the difference in the sizes.
Hope these BonBoards add a little joy to your work day, Maggie!
