The process of making BonBoards is so much fun for me. Each time I make a board for someone, I get to learn a little bit about them. For example, I get to learn about people's favorite colors, sports teams, etc. Every decision I make throughout the creative process is for that specific person, so it is really fun for me when customers follow up with pictures or notes about what their loved one thought of the BonBoard gift.
So, thanks to Carrie for sharing this picture of Adler who gives a "thumbs up" to his basketball board!

Boards for Mom and Boys
I got an email from Kristin who was wanting to order boards for her sons for their January birthdays. Justin and Matthew are 7 and 4 years old and they are huge Phillies fans. I made sure to get baseball pushpins for them, too!
Kristin wanted a BonBoard for herself, too! She wanted a board to put in her kitchen so that she could hang the boys' artwork and some photos on it, so it needed to be somewhat plain so that it had space for the art/photos but still cute. But just like Maggie's boards, I wanted to make it a little more grown up. She sent me a picture of her kitchen and I went to the store to find matching paint. So here is the board I painted:
Here is a closeup of the flower:
Since the board was a little more plain, I wanted to make sure I found some cute pushpins to go with it!
Happy birthday, guys! Maybe Mom can put a picture of you with your boards on her board! :)

Introducing MagBoards!
Since Maggie gave me the great idea to make smaller boards, I've decided to name them in her honor! I'm thrilled to introduce the BonBoards option of the MagBoard. Here are a few that I made to see how they would turn out. And to be honest, I LOVE them!
These MagBoards are 12" x 12" and are only $20. Put in your order today!

Maggie and Lucia - Follow up!
Do you remember the boards I made for Maggie and Lucia? Kelsey gave them their boards and they sent her an email thank you note (well, their parents sent it on their behalf ... they aren't even old enough to write yet!).
The email said, "Thank you Kelsey, I love my Christmas present!" I asked if I could share the pictures with ya'll here on the blog because they just warmed my heart.
Apparently Lucia was trying to carry hers around with her! I'm glad you like them, little ladies!

BonBoards ... for grown ups!
Maggie is a young professional who has become friends with two girls who work in her office. She thought BonBoards would be a great way to add some joy to their cubicles but knew that the normal size boards wouldn't fit in her cubicle (the boards are 24"x24"). So, she asked if I could make something smaller. Well, Maggie... challenge accepted!
There was another twist to it: this was for her office, so it had to be somewhat professional. Basically, I needed to make a BonBoard for a grown up. I'm used to using bright neon colors and painting things like butterflies and flowers, so this was definitely something new for me. But, I was up to the challenge!
So here they are:
And here is a close up on the pushpins:
I made a similar board for Maggie's room, and in this picture you can see the difference in the sizes.
Hope these BonBoards add a little joy to your work day, Maggie!

Positive Reinforcement
Here is a little fun fact about me: My mom owns a fitness center for women called Curves. Although everyone knows that exercise is important for their health, people looove to give excuses as to why they can't make time for exercise. So, I made this board to hang in Mom's Curves as friendly reminder that if you want to do something, you'll find a way!
Lighthouse
A young woman named Amanda ordered a BonBoard for her BFF Megan for Christmas. Megan and Amanda were both involved in a retreat in college called Lighthouse. So, Amanda asked that the board I make for Megan's classroom have a lighthouse on it.
Hope you like it, Meg!

Custom Pushpins
Thanks to a great suggestion from a customer, I've now decided to always give custom pushpins that match the BonBoards I make! Sometimes I stumble across pre-made pushpins that match the theme of the board, like these:
Remember this football board I made for Emmanuel?
Well I found these football pins to go with it:
And I put these peace sign pushpins on the peace sign board I made for Jade:
Remember this board I made for Trenton?
Look how cute these soccer ball pushpins are:
But sometimes, I can't find the perfect pushpin to go with the board, so instead I make them! Check these out:
I'll be posting a new update soon about the boards I made for Maggie, but in the meantime, here is a shot of the pushpins I made for them!
I found these buttons at the store, and ripped off their backs to turn them into pushpins!
And did the same with these glittery flower buttons:
So from now on, let me know if you have any special requests for the pushpins for your boards!
